Piece by Piece is a large-scale participatory art piece developed jointly with Wei Zhang. Festival-goers were invited to slot cardboard pieces together to form a large abstract sculpture. Each piece was designed to interlock and let complex structures naturally emerge from simple parts. Twenty different versions of the sculpture were assembled over the course of two days.
